Abstract

Pekanbaru Municipality in Figures 2023 is part of the overall statistical data system, which aims to provide detailed information on basic statistics and sectoral statistics that are often used by planners and decision makers in making policies. This publication is published regularly every year. Since 2020, Pekanbaru Municipality in Figures was published faster than the previous period. In line with the increasing demand of data users, the content and the structure of this publication have been continuously improved.The data presented in this publication consists of primary data which is the result of the census/survey conducted by the BPS-Statistics of Pekanbaru Municipality and also secondary data from various government agencies/agencies/institutions and private institutions in the Pekanbaru Municipality area.Recognizing the need for statistical data that is timely, varied, accurate, and in line with the needs of local governments and the private sector, encourages us to complete and improve the data presented both in terms of quality and quantity.Broadly speaking, this publication contains statistical information on geographical conditions, governance, population, employment, agriculture, industry, mining, energy, construction, drinking water, electricity, transportation and communications, banking and GRDP of Pekanbaru Municipality in the year of 2022. It is hoped that the strategic data presented in this publication can become the main raw material in sectoral and cross-sectoral development planning in the city of Pekanbaru.
